ABOUT US

In 1996, a group of industry, community leaders, human resource managers and plant managers shared a common concern about the lack of relevant training available for the workforce in Northwest Arkansas. Together they created Northwest Arkansas Industries for Education {dba Business and Industry Training/BIT), a not-for-profit consortium of area businesses and industries that shared resources and created customized, skill-based training to suit a wide range of needs.

As a BIT Member, you are able to pool your training needs from others who share similar needs. This results in:

• Immediate access to customized training

• Ability to apply for workforce grant dollars

• Cost and time savings

• Use of classroom space at the Business and Industry Training facilities at no cost

In 2019, Northwest Arkansas Industries for Education began doing business as Business and Industry Training, moved to a larger facility in Springdale, AR, and also, is offering training at a facility in Gentry, AR.

Today BIT is still a non-profit organization that offers the same short-term, hands-on industrial maintenance training we have been known for since 1996. We recently added robotics and additional safety training, and continue to offer soft skills/personal development classes and computer courses to meet your training needs.

Northwest Arkansas Industries for Education is open to any business or industry with a commitment to build a knowledgeable, skilled workforce. We would like to have you as a training partner and we are here to help answer any questions that you may have.
